Yogesh Patel BSC CTA FCCA
Yogesh founded Telic with the belief that having purpose and driving a culture where everyone enjoys what they do, will deliver supreme client service as a consequence.
Yogesh has worked in finance for over 15 years, starting his career at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, followed by PwC, where he worked in the Corporate Finance, Private Client and Corporate Tax teams.
He has a wealth of experience in advising individuals, families, entrepreneurs and property related clients. He also has a passion for helping purpose-driven and fast-growing businesses with their tax, business and accounting matters. More recently he has been preparing Joint Tax Expert Witness reports for the Courts and dealing with tax planning for in-bound expats to the UK.

Yogesh is a keen cyclist and running fanatic. He has cycled from London to Paris in less than 24 hours and lives his life according to the principles of marginal gains.
Yogesh regularly mentors start-ups and is the Adviser-in-Residence at the LSE (London School of Economics) Entrepreneurship hub. He is also passionate about advocacy within the accounting and tax profession. He is the Vice Chair of the ACCA UK Practitioners panel and was awarded the ACCA UK Advocate of the Year 2021.

Vipool Shah MA (CANTAB) FCA CTA
Vipool has been an accounting and tax leader for over 35 years. After reading economics at Queens’ College Cambridge he began his career qualifying as a chartered accountant with Grant Thornton. He has been focusing on advising private clients, SMEs and family companies on a range of financial and tax matters.
Vipool has close association with business in India. He is a former director of India Value Investments Limited and has co-authored a book Inward and Outward Investment: India and the UK.
He was also a member of an NHS Health Authority for four years, served as a school governor for eight years, and has been involved in several charities over the years.

Vipool’s interests include exploring London, theatre and playing bridge. He supports Arsenal and both India and England at cricket.
Vipool is a huge proponent of equality and fairness, and a strong believer in Anekantavada. His drive for championing the positive is so vital to our mission at Telic. He has several charitable organisations that he works with and hopes to broaden his activities in the next few years.






Nick Hopkin FCA CTA
Nick is an experienced adviser having successfully operated as a private business partner at PwC for 29 years. He has a proven track record of serving a wide range of clients, and an unrivalled breadth of technical expertise.
He originally trained as an auditor but is now a leading authority in the taxation of private clients and owner managed businesses having been a tax professional for 37 years. He has acted as trusted adviser to dozens of high-net-worth individuals for many years and has advised on over 250 private business transactions.

Akshi Maroo BSC (HONS) ATT CTA
Akshi is a joint member of the ATT and CTA. She is a graduate from University of Warwick having read Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics. Akshi has a wealth of experience in advising individuals, families, and trusts.
Akshi has developed a wide spectrum of tax expertise ranging from trust tax planning and compliance, to HMRC enquires and investigations. Akshi also manages many of our larger property focussed clients dealing with various accounting and complex tax matters.

Akshi supports charitable organisations that raise awareness for endangered species and has adopted a rhino in Kenya.

Khilna Malde BA (HONS) FCCA
Khilna graduated from the University of Brightonin 2001 with a degree in Accounting and Finance. She then qualified as an Associated Chartered Certified Accountant. Khilna joined the team in 2004 and has been involved in all aspects of tax and accounting work.
She has advised on many aspects of personal tax and business tax matters and has developed a deep understanding dealing with HMRC enquiries and investigations.

Khilna is a keen traveller and has won several swimming championships in Kenya.
Khilna has actively participated in the annual “Race for Life” raising money for Cancer Research and has been involved in organisations supporting disability.

Sean O’Sullivan BSC FCCA
Sean graduated from King’s College London in 2000 having studied Astrophysics. Soon after, he joined a small City of London accountancy practice where he cut his accounting and taxation teeth.
He is an expert in cloud accounting software and apps and has experience as a financial controller in several UK subsidiaries of multinational corporations. He has also developed a significant breadth of tax knowledge over the years and more recently developed a deep understanding of estate and inheritance tax planning and International tax advice to clients moving to or leaving the UK.

Sean keeps fit by running and playing for his local football team. He is also a long-suffering Arsenal fan.
Sean would like to take part in organised running events to raise monies for charitable causes (although he insists Arsenal is not one of them!)

Muki Khan BSC ACA ATT
Muki graduated from University College London in 2011 having studied Biochemistry. After an eventful gap year (travelling in the Middle East and South Asia as well as getting engaged), Muki pursued a career in accounting and tax and qualified as a Chartered Accountant and Taxation Technician (ICAEW and ATT).
Muki has a deep understanding of personal tax matters for both UK and non-resident clients. He works on several of our family office clients, dealing with a range of technical tax queries.

Nicola Shaw
Nicola is our Office Manager with over twenty years’ accounting firm experience. She manages the firm’s IT systems and supports the day-to-day running of the firm. She also handles all aspects of onboarding new clients.
Her main passions in life are her daughter, fiancée and their cat.
Nicola works hard to save our dwindling bee population. She is continually developing her garden to make it a haven for bees and other wildlife.





Dipa Shah
Dipa is our longest serving team member. She joined the team in 1998 and has been with us ever since. Dipa has worked on many areas during her time here and has grown and developed accordingly.

Dipa likes reading, anything from literature, classics and thrillers, to romance novels. She enjoys cooking, and entertaining for her family and friends, cooking everyday staple Gujarati dishes to exotic vegetarian dishes from around the world.
Dipa aims to take part in more charitable events having previously completed two Race for Life and Kids for Life runs to support Cancer Research and Great Ormond Street Hospital. She’s starting with 10k steps per day – it’s the little things.
