Shortlisted for the Health and Wellbeing Initiative of the Year at the British Business Awards

Absolutely thrilled and delighted to have been selected as a finalist in The British Business Awards in the category Health and Wellbeing Initiative of the Year. This year the award had over 700 entries!

As a growing, B-Corp certified business with strong values and a family-focused culture, a key priority for us has been balancing our increasing client workload with our teams wellbeing particularly as we were experiencing increase level of sickness in the office.

Conscious that this mirrored national trends whereby 2.8 million working-age individuals in the UK take extended sick leave, our Director initiated an innovative, bespoke Health and Wellbeing Initiative trying to address both the underlying issue and our specific business challenges.   After liaising with our team we embarked on a 12-week Health and Wellbeing initiative focusing on glucose monitoring.  This was supported by a nutritionist who offered 1:1 diet refinement coaching to each team member as well as nutrition education workshops.

Team take-up of the initiative was 90% and it was great to see that average sick days did reduce.  Additionally, our team reported that their energy levels had improved from 5.4/10 to 7/10 and their mood had also increased by 20% – a key metric for emotional health.
